Resiliency

The other branches of Surpassability include organizing our efforts and designs to reflect resiliency. All systems, even seemingly fixed ones like buildings are always in a state of change. All buildings are set in natural and social ecology, and these ebb and flow over time. Creating every project – whether a cabin or a city, requires us to pay attention to creating different types of commons for informal interaction. Mega-houses, malls and suburbs, and personal electronics have forgotten how to design for people’s need to interact informally face to face.
